Vicky Kaushal was born on 16 May 1988 to a Punjabi Hindu family in Mumbai and is Brahmin by caste. His father, Sham Kaushal, is an action director in Bollywood while his mother, Veena Kaushal, is a homemaker. Vicky’s family is originally from Hoshiarpur but they have been living in Mumbai for a very long time. He has a younger brother, Sunny Kaushal, who is also an actor.
